Auto-backup (Mac)

Auto-backup gives you peace of mind by keeping a copy of your notes stored safely in a cloud service of your choice.

Turning on Auto-backup

  1. Go to Notability > Preferences from the menu at the top of your screen.
  2. Next to "AutoBackup Destination", select Dropbox or Google Drive.
  3. Next to the "Format" option that appears, select PDF or Note.
    • The Note file format includes every kind of content in a note: audio, handwriting, typed text, sticky notes, images, web clips, figures—everything! All of those contents are fully editable when the note is imported back into Notability.

Your notes will automatically backup to a folder named "Notability" in the service you choose. At the moment, it is not possible to enable auto-backup from multiple devices at once.
