Note Navigation and Search

There are several ways to navigate your notes.

To scroll freely through a note, use .

Searching across All Notes

  1. On iPad, open Notability's Library and tap .
  2. On iPhone, open a subject and scroll above the first note.
  3. Tap the search bar that appears.
  4. Type in a search term.
  5. Tap a note in the search results to open that note.

Searching within a Note

  • On iPad, tap to open the Page Navigator.
  • Tap to see all pages.
  • Tap to see annotated pages when using PDFs.
  • Tap to see bookmarked pages.
  • Tap to search the note.

Changing Pages

  • Tap the arrows by the page number to move to the previous or next page.
  • Tap the top number and type in a number to jump to that page.

The Page Navigator

  • On iPad, tap to open the Page Navigator.
  • Tap a page's thumbnail to select it.
  • Tap a selected thumbnail to:
    • Add Page
    • Cut
    • Copy
    • Paste
    • Clear Page
    • Delete Page
  • To move a page, press and hold its thumbnail. Then drag it up or down.
  • To bookmark a page, tap .
  • To quickly scroll up to the first page of the Page Navigator when on a long note, tap the empty space on top of the + icon.

Please note: Page numbers and the Page Navigator are not available on iPhone currently.
