Note Navigation and Search (iOS)

There are several ways to navigate and search your notes. Use to scroll freely through your note.

On iPad

Page Numbers

  • Tap the arrows above and below the page number to move to the previous or next page.
  • Tap the top number and enter a different number to move to the desired page.

Page Navigator

  • Tap to open the Page Navigator.
  • Tap a page's thumbnail to select it.
  • Tap a selected thumbnail to reveal these options:
    • Add Page. Adds a blank page after the selected page.
    • Cut. Removes the selected page and copies it to your iPad's clipboard.
    • Copy. Copies the selected page to your iPad's clipboard.
    • Paste. Inserts a page from your iPad's clipboard after the selected page.
    • Clear Page. Removes all annotations from the selected page.
    • Delete Page. Removes the selected page.
  • To move a page, tap and hold the page's thumbnail, then drag it to a new location.
  • To bookmark a page, tap .

Searching within a Note

The Page Navigator has several ways to show a note's pages.

  • Tap to see all pages.
  • Tap to see annotated pages. This option only appears when annotating PDFs.
  • Tap to see bookmarked pages.
  • Tap to search the note. Pages containing search results will be shown with the search term highlighted.

Searching through All Notes

  1. In the library, tap near the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap the "Search all notes" field that appears.
  3. Type in a search term.
  4. Search results will be separated into "Title Matches" and "Content Matches".
  5. Tap a note listed in the search results to open that note.

On iPhone

Page Numbers and Page Navigator

At the moment, page numbers and the Page Navigator are not available on iPhone.

Searching through All Notes

  1. Open any of your subjects.
  2. Scroll up above the first note to reveal the Search all notes field.
  3. Tap the search field.
  4. Type in a search term.
  5. Tap "Search".
  6. Search results will be separated into "Title Matches" and "Content Matches".
  7. Tap a note listed in the search results to open that note.
