Notability for iOS is available in the App Store. It requires iOS 11.0 or later and works on iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Notability for Mac is available in the Mac App Store. It requires macOS 10.13 or later and works on all Macs.
Because iOS and macOS are separate platforms, the two versions of Notability are sold separately. If you have both versions, though, you can sync notes between them through iCloud.
After you purchase the iOS version of Notability, you can download it on as many iOS devices as you like. If an iOS device is logged into the Apple ID you used to purchase Notability for iOS, the app will be available for free in your iOS device's list of purchased apps.
After you purchase the Mac version of Notability, you can download it on as many Macs as you like. If a Mac is logged into the Apple ID you used to purchase Notability for Mac, the app will be available for free in your Mac's list of purchased apps.
If it looks like the App Store will charge you again, these steps may nudge it into order:
- Log out of the App Store.
- Restart your device.
- Log back into the App Store.
If the version of Notability you're downloading is in your purchase history, tapping or clicking the button to buy Notability will make the App Store check your history, see that you bought the app, and download it for free.
