Settings: Account, Subscription, & Help

Easily customize your settings and manage your account(s) to match your style. Below you'll find details on Account, Subscription, Learn, and Help tabs within the Settings menu. Select mceclip2.png (settings) in the Library to access your Settings menu.

Account

  • Notability Account: Log in and out of your Notability account.
    • A Notability account is used for public note sharing and the Gallery.
      • Notes are not backed up to your Notability account.
    • Select the 3 horizontal dots to Delete Account or Change Password.
  • Locked Folders: If you need to reset your password, select Change Password.
    • You can also enable your device’s Face ID to override your current password and gain access to a locked folder.
    • Notability supports your device's Face ID, Touch ID, or Passcode.
  • Preferred Name: Create a name for your account and update it anytime.

Manage Subscription

  • Current Plan: You can see which plan you’re currently using and the date of auto-renewal. 
    • Monthly Edit Limit: Starter users can see the percentage of monthly edits used on the progress bar.
    • Manage Subscription: This will take you to the App Store subscriptions page. 
    • Restore Plan: If your plan is incorrect, tapping on this button should nudge things into order. Make sure you are logged into the same Apple ID that was used to purchase Notability and/or the Plus subscription. 
    • Refer a friend: Send a 30-day guest pass for your Notability plan and unlock Inky for 7 days.

AI Customization

  • AI: Enabling this option will enable all AI powered features.
  • Learn: This option enables study features such as quizzes and flashcards.
  • Transcription: Enabling this option will convert your audio recordings to text, making them readable and searchable.
  • Default Language: Change the default language for Learn.

Recently Deleted

  • Recently deleted notes will be shown here. Notes will be permanently deleted after 30 days.

Version Number

  • You can check which version of Notability you’re on here; we recommend always updating to the newest version.
