Notability accounts are used to access the Gallery and for link sharing. Only in Notability Cloud are accounts also used to sync notes. If you are using the version of Notability that relies on iCloud sync, your notes are managed by iCloud and will not appear in your Notability account.
Notability accounts are unavailable in China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau.
Notability Accounts and Note Storage
Your Notability account works differently depending on the version of Notability you are using:
Notability with iCloud: Your Notability account does not store your notes. Your notes are stored in iCloud or your chosen backup service.
Notability Cloud: Your notes are stored securely on our server when you create a Notability account.
Account Creation
- Create an account through this sign up link.
- Create an account by going through the steps to create and share a link.
- Create an account by tapping on Sign Up within the Gallery on your app.
- Create an account or login using OAuth. Choose between Google, Apple, or Microsoft.
Account Verification
After creating an account, you'll receive an email from Notability with a verification link. Tap on the link to confirm and verify your account.
Changing Email Addresses
Contact support if you'd like to change the email address tied to an unverified Notability account.
Email addresses can only be changed if the account has not been verified.
If you've already verified your Notability account, we recommend creating a brand new account using your preferred email address.
Changing Account Name
Navigate to Notability Settings > Account > Preferred Name
Please note this is only available on Notability Cloud.
Changing Usernames
Contact support if you'd like to change the username for your Notability account.
