Notability Cloud automatically keeps your notes synced across all your devices. Start a note on your iPad and pick it up on your phone or the web. Your library stays up to date everywhere you're signed in.
Notes will sync automatically as long as you're signed in to the same Notability account across all your devices, including the iOS and web applications.
To verify that the same email address is being used, navigate to Notability Settings > Account.
What syncs with Notability Cloud?
All your notes and folders sync across iOS (iPhone and iPad), Mac, Android, and Web. Audio recordings made on one device also sync and are accessible on your other devices. Learn content does not sync between devices at this time.
How do I get on Notability Cloud?
New users are automatically set up on Notability Cloud when they first sign in.
Existing users can update to Notability Cloud via an in-app prompt. You'll see an in-app prompt when your account is eligible. If you haven't received one yet, you can request access using this invite link: https://open.notability.com/event/notability-cloud-support-invite
To use the invite link, you'll need to meet these requirements:
- You're on an iPad
- You have more than 10 GB of free device storage
- You're on Notability version 15.3.7 or newer
- Your device is not managed by a school, university, or employer (MDM)
- You have a strong internet connection
Notability Cloud is not available in China Mainland, Hong Kong, or Macau, or for accounts using a Chinese App Store region.
Troubleshooting Cloud Sync Issues
If your notes aren't appearing on another device, here are the most common reasons and how to fix them:
Check that you're signed in to the same account on all devices. This is the most frequent cause of missing notes. Go to Notability Settings > Account on each device and confirm the same email address is listed.
Make sure you have a strong internet connection. Notability Cloud requires an active connection to sync. If you're on a weak or intermittent network, notes may be delayed or take longer to load.
Check that your device has enough storage. Low device storage can prevent syncing from completing. Make sure you have adequate space available.
Wait a moment, then check again. Syncing large notes or libraries can take a little time, especially after a fresh install or when switching devices.
