Recordings
We are constantly enhancing the quality of our transcription system! Although previously processed files may not always receive the latest enhancements, your newly recorded files will always receive the highest quality of transcripts.
These types of recordings will transcribe well:
- High-quality audio
- Lectures
- Single-speaker clips
- Single-language clips
These types of recordings may not transcribe as well:
- Low-quality audio
- Movie or theater audio
- Multi-speaker clips
- Mixed-language recordings

What about my privacy?
Your privacy is extremely important to us. We do not access, listen to, or review the audio recordings beyond the automated transcription process or share the audio recordings with any third parties for any purpose without your consent except as required to fulfill our legal obligations under applicable law. In particular, we do not use your data to train AI models. For more details, check out our Privacy Policy.
How can I use Audio Transcription?
Transcription will be available to Notability Plus subscribers.
I'm on the Plus Plan, but I don't see anything about Audio Transcripts?
We're still rolling the feature out, starting with a small portion of Plus users. Thank you for your patience!
Will background processing cause my app to lag or freeze?
Processing should have minimal performance impact. If you notice anything unusual related to this, contact our Support and we can assist further.
Can I opt out?
If this is something you're interested in, let our Support team know. We are continously evaluating user feedback for future improvements.
